Australian Lamb Burgers

Ingredients

  • 250g Australian lamb mince
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh mint
  • Yogurt
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour cream
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Milk
  • Garlic
  • 1 egg
  • Burger buns
  • Mixed greens
  • Caramelised onions

Directions

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Take a large mixing bowl and add breadcrumbs soaked in milk

  2. 2

    Add salt and pepper

  3. 3

    Add 1 egg

  4. 4

    Add lamb mince

  5. 5

    Mix all together thoroughly

  6. 6

    Add mixture to a burger press, or create patties using your hands

Cooking the Burger Patties

    Heat oil in a large frying pan

  2. 2

    Add burgers and fry for 5 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness

Making the Aioli

  1. 1

    Take a mixing bowl and add yogurt

  2. 2

    Add mayonnaise

  3. 3

    Add sour cream

  4. 4

    Add chopped mint

  5. 5

    Add chopped garlic

  6. 6

    Mix together throughly

The Final Dish

    Slice burger buns

  2. 2

    Add caramelised onions

  3. 3

    Add cooked burgers

  4. 4

    Add aioli

  5. 5

    Add mixed greens
