About Lambassador

The Lambassador Initiative is a global project that identifies influential food professionals who are passionate about cooking with Australian lamb. The selected chefs partner with Meat & Livestock Australia on a voluntary basis and work together to raise awareness of Australian Lamb around the world.

Ali Ghzawi

Chef Ali Ghzawi is a renowned Jordanian Chef and winner of “Top Chef Middle East 2019” who discovered his passion for the art of food at the age of 17, after completing his education in Global Hospitality at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. His cooking journey and skills has since developed into a full career and Ali subsequently became one of the region’s most famous chefs for his age. For his influential characteristics, he was nominated in Forbes 30 under 30 in the Middle East.

Hattem Mattar

Being the world’s first Arab pitmaster, Chef Hattem Mattar is renowned for The Mattar Farm in Dubai. It is a third culture smokehouse showcasing a fusion of cooking inspired from Egypt, Syrian, Sudan with an American twist. Hattem brings many of his skilled creations to the table such as smoked brisket, underground lamb and whole smoked camel. Aside from representing the Arab world at the world’s largest BBQ festival in Brazil, his menus have been featured on CNN as he shares his love of cooking with others.
